this should be a not-meta way to play diablo. In D2 the idea of a melee sorc wearing eth zod ribcracker or whatever is cool, I get it. OP while I 1/2 way agree, here’s my thought. (The Barbarian can’t Dual Wield Two Handed Weapons, I am putting this as a disclaimer for certain people) It would make more sense thematically that a Barbarian should be a master of all Arms & Armor. Talic The Defender, is one of the Barbarian Ancients, who uses a Shield. I don’t want the implementation of item types to be locked in place for classes. I am hoping this isn’t the case, because it can ruin a lot of class fantasy builds people would like to achieve within each class.ĭiablo has always allowed classes to equip most weapons and armors, I still want there to be Class Specific gear for classes of course, I just don’t want the removal of the feature to wield and wear most items. I also noticed for Druid that they are kind of locked behind a Staff, I think it would be cool to dual wield axes, and use that Druid skill “Storm Strike” that was in the Diablo 4 Demo (It wasn’t shown in the gameplay, but you can look it up in the D4 Wiki)Īlso, the same can be said about armor types, is Barbarian locked into Heavy Armor? Are Druids locked behind Medium Armor and Sorceress locked into only Light armor? Does this completely get rid of the ability of them being able to use a shield? I have always liked a Sword & Board Physical damage play style, but I was never really able to achieve that in Diablo 3 without taking a gigantic hit in viability, but this wasn’t a problem in Diablo 2. I think Diablo 4 shouldn’t lock classes into certain item types, it narrows down build fantasies people may have for certain classes.įrom what I’ve seen of the Barbarian in Diablo 4, is that they are locked behind using 1 Two Handed Bladed Weapon, 1 Two Handed Blunt Weapon and 2 One Handed Weapons all at the same time.
